While our initial experience with Paul Davis was decent, and the subcontractors wonderful (minus the massive chunk taken out of our front steps and dents in the wall), the problems that are persisting after their work are reason alone why I would hesitate to recommend them to anyone I know. Communication is subpar at best. We had to continuously reach out for updates, timelines, etc. throughout our repair. Things would get pushed back and it was radio silence from Paul Davis. On multiple occasions I had to reach out and still wouldn’t hear back for WEEKS (meanwhile our subfloor was left exposed, drywall removed, nails left in the open with a small crawling baby in the house) During the repair, our ac ducts were damaged and torn open in our crawl space by a Paul Davis contractor. Still, months later, it has yet to be fixed. We’ve called, left voicemails, and again it’s been silence from Paul Davis. We’ve been cooling our crawl space for months, and living through a very hot summer without adequate a/c. I would recommend looking elsewhere before choosing to use Paul Davis for ANY work.

Any company USAA refers for mitigation is highly likely to be the best choice in the area. Paul Davis did not disappoint.

My kitchen flooded, and Paul Davis Restoration of West Richmond was assigned through my homeowners insurance claim. From the very beginning, I was impressed by the responsiveness, professionalism, and efficiency of the entire team. I received a call the same day my claim was approved, and work began shortly afterward. Liz and her team spent an entire day carefully tearing out my kitchen cabinets, trim, and floors. They treated my home with great care, protecting furniture and surrounding areas during the demolition and thoroughly cleaning up afterward. Every person who worked in my home was kind, courteous, professional, and genuinely pleasant to work with. What impressed me most was the teamwork. It was obvious they took pride in their work, were dedicated to doing things the right way, and genuinely enjoyed working together. Liz deserves special recognition for the exceptional job she did managing the project. Her knowledge and experience were evident from our very first interaction, and she immediately inspired confidence during what could have been a stressful situation. She was organized, attentive, and proactive, always making sure I understood what was happening and what to expect next. What stood out most was how much she genuinely cared. She was always available to answer questions, checked in regularly throughout the process, and worked around my schedule to coordinate follow-up visits. Her communication was outstanding, and she approached every interaction with professionalism, patience, and kindness. It's rare to find someone who is not only excellent at their job but also makes customers feel truly supported throughout the process. In 25 years of home ownership, I have worked with many contractors and service professionals, and I can honestly say this was the best experience I have ever had. Every member of the crew helped make a difficult situation manageable, and I am truly grateful for the care, expertise, and outstanding service they provided. I would highly recommend Paul Davis to anyone facing a home restoration project.

Paul Davis Restoration West Richmond was truly a pleasure to work with from Jordan, Stephanie, Alec and Lane. Amber the project manager was awesome. Had a couple of small hiccups she was on it ASAP. Thank you all for what ya'll did to get our house back to our home.
