Paul Davis Restoration of Portland / Vancouver

I started with another restoration company before I switched to Paul Davis mid dry out. The communication difference was like night and Day. Andrew made sure I understood all of the steps and regularly checked in on the project. The entire crew was pleasant and professional. I do not recommend having a home water incident but if you do- Paul Davis is who you want to call for help.

We had a structural fire in our backyard that destroyed our shed, its contents, fence and several trees/shrubs and sprinklers. We contacted Paul Davis and Ciara Fox was assigned to our case. She came out quickly to assess the damage and provided our insurance claim adjuster with an estimate for debris removal. Once all that was approved, the Paul Davis Team came out to haul things away. Slade was the lead person on the crew. He was so pleasant and accommodating as was the rest of his team. They worked extremely hard on a very warm day in their full PPE. After they were done with their work, our yard looked so much better. Now we can move on with the additional repairs needed to restore it to it's prior beauty. Thank you to Slade, his crew and Ciara for their assistance with this unfortunate and unexpected event! I made the crew chocolate chip cookies as a minor token of our appreciation! Paul Davis entire team from start to finish is truly incredible to work with. From initial meeting, assessments, fire damage clean up throughout - were all so caring and pleasant to deal with after am unfortunate fire. Super communications and friendly team!

BEWARE, THIS COMPANY DOES NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY! We had a flood the summer of 2025 which damaged our hardwood cherry floors. Paul Davis contracted our sanding and refinishing repair to Golden Craft Construction. We were happy with the appearance of the floors when complete so we signed off on the project. We were told numerous times that if we had any problems with any of the work that was performed, they provide a one year warranty. After two months the finish began to scratch when vacuuming using my Bissel hardwood floor vacuum which has soft rubber rollers. When I called to report the concern, I asked for information about the type of finish that was used and for my project Manager, Chris Hole, to come and inspect. Chris failed to respond after repeated requests so I called his boss, Alex. Alex failed to reach out as well. A few days later I received a one sentence text from Chris Hole (PM) that my flooring was not covered under warranty and gave no explanation as to why their one year guarantee did not apply. I asked why, and received no response or reply. I’ve been around home building and remodeling for fifty years and have never worked with such dishonesty as with this company. It was the worst experience I ever had with broken promises, insurance billing problems, and numerous problems with Beth, the insurance estimator. My insurance company USSA was also very frustrated working with all the inefficiency as well. I was never so happy than the day they completed our job and they walked out my door. But now, here we are with flooring problems and Paul Davis failing to honor their warranty. I would never recommend this company to anyone and it saddens me greatly that this company doesn’t feel the need to act with integrity toward customers who are in a position of crises dealing with their biggest investment, our homes. I just wonder what happened to customer satisfaction and standing by a companies word? I guess they feel they don’t owe that to me or the community. I’m extremely disappointed with Paul Davis.

We had a wonderful experience with Chris, the Project Manager, at Paul Davis after our laundry room pipe burst and flooded our main level. He communicated well with us and provided excellent resources for subcontractors. He was a great resource for any questions we had and made sure we were happy with the final restoration. If we ever have to go through something unfortunate like this again, I know I can count on them to help us navigate the mitigation and repairs.
