On Site Specialty Cleaning and Restoration

I’m sad to have to write this review. I had high hopes with this company. My father had a basement backup which is serious and requires timely response. My father who is having physical and mental decline, is having a hard time and has experienced elder abuse in the past from companies. When Joey and I first talked he was kind and seemed very professional. He went out and assess the issue and told my dad he would have a quote in a couple of days. My dad did not have insurance to help him out (which they knew) so they gave him a ball park number which was reasonable. Two days came and went and no quote and said he will have it Monday. Monday came and went so I called and he said the estimator was out and will have it Tuesday. Wednesday morning I called and he said he sent it but I never received (I checked everywhere including my junk) I gave him another email to see if that was the issue. He never sent it to my new email and he stopped returning my calls/texts. It breaks my heart that elderly people are treated this way. And I feel not having insurance played a part and that’s really not fair. What happened to people over profits ;( I hope they read this and fix this so others don’t have to experience this as it has been stressful enough. If they didn’t want the business I would have preferred honesty and wasting our time as the basement mold issue get worse by the day! Never trust one company right out the door. I was naive to think based on day one professionalism they will be professional the rest of the time. Be sure to read all the reviews, not just the high ones! (Edit, thank you Vince for responding to my review! Joey is very nice and I know my dad can be challenging to work with! I understand where you are coming from, but from my point of view I was more worried about my dad saving items that were hazardous to his health. I also have memories of my mom and dad that are destroyed as well. With my dad having more cognitive issues he would have wanted you to save everything and that is unrealistic and dangerous. I just wanted honesty, if the quote was going to take seven days instead of just two ok, I would have gotten more quotes in the meantime. Regardless of me having recent DPOA for my dad, my dad would have been making wrong decisions and he needed guidance to make the right ones. He was not guided correctly to add this type of water backup insurance to his home policy and this caused the delay in the beginning from another company I requested a quote from. I understand that there are other jobs, but I felt this one was bad enough that required urgency. But if it wasn’t I would have felt better if I was told it wasn’t urgent. But Cat 3 to me I thought was urgent. My dad clearly cannot make decisions on his own that’s why I have to step in for the safety of him and my special needs brother. The quote came in more than twice as high as expected which is understandable but unfortunately too high. Yes he needs empathy, but he needs honesty and needs to be told directly that saving items sitting in sewer water cannot be saved no matter how much money (which he doesn’t have) to throw at it to “clean” it. We had a sump pump backup flood our finished basement and On-Site got a crew out fast. The crew (Jim, German, Carlos) on site was professional and respectful of the house. What really stood out was Jim Hanna — he was responsive to every call I made, and when I had questions about the invoice he walked through it with me. That kind of no-games approach is rare in this industry. If you use On-Site, ask for Jim Hanna.

My basement flooded this week and we found out after hours. Not only did my frantic phone call get answered right away but Jim Hanna even hopped on FaceTime with me to diagnose the problem before calling my plumber. After I got everything fixed they came out right away to get started to make sure the problem didn’t get worse. I was shocked with how fast they came out. Thanks Jim Hanna for the awesome experience!

I had mold in my wall from a leak and Jim and his crew cleaned it up fast and they did a perfect job very polite and professional.

From start to finish, our experience with Jim and the team was top notch. German T, Carlos R and Mervin B were extremely professional, considerate, thorough and efficient at cleaning up our basement and salvaging what items they could after a flood. Everyone we encountered from On Site was incredibly responsive and supportive. Five stars are not enough!
