Very disappointed in how they treated my fiancée and i. We had them come out took them two months to get an estimate over. They finally called me said you got a new person. The person who I got transferred me to another person. Two months of them just to send a quote over to my insurance. Once my insurance said they need to move things off the list Monroe called to inform me they are dropping me. Why didnt you guys tell me in the first place you are not interested

When a weather event turns into home damage, you want a prompt response to mitigate and restore your home. We suffered water damage in our kitchen during the coldest days of February 2026. After contacting my insurance carrier, I asked for a listing of preferred contractors that were familiar with the insurance company's software and process. They gave me a name I was familiar with, Service Master. Of the various companies in my area with the Service Master brand, I chose Service Master Monroe Restoration. A representative answered my call. There was a team out the next business day to assist with the control and mitigation of the damage. Next came the restoration part. After getting our schedules aligned, and the right people assigned, Monroe arranged for an electrician to come out and assess any unseen issues with wiring, etc and a flooring expert to determine what the best course of action would be. Our home is over 50 years old and things weren't exactly level and straight anymore. The project scope expanded as hidden damage was found. Luckily, Monroe and State Farm have worked many projects. Having the same estimating software as your adjuster was very helpful. After the final walk-through addressing any punchlist items, I signed off on the completion. Nice job Monroe!Bruce (our foreman) was very considerate and patient with us answering our questions and concerns. Making sure we were satisfied and went the extra mile to ensure it was right. EJ, our project manager, always returned our calls and messages. He kept us informed when there were material delays, scheduling conflicts and overall gave us an added peace of mind that things were going to go well. When there was a problem with replacing our cabinets due to them being discontinued, he stepped up using his cabinetry skills and experience to come up with a solution that appeased the insurance adjuster and made us happy too. He also arranged for their material handlers to come in and assist in moving heavy furniture and appliances around to facilitate a smooth project flow. The project was completed. Clean-up was painless. And we barely had to lift a finger. We were so happy with choosing Monroe and would recommend them for any emergency storm work, insurance repairs/restorations, even general residential contracting. Lastly, every so often I would get a phone call from Jerry O. on how the project was proceeding, if there were any questions to answer, paperwork to complete, problems that might arise. When our insurance adjuster was changed in the middle of the project, I panicked that all the groundwork and information would have to be re-started and explained. Jerry took the ball down the pitch and scored a goal (notice the FIFA comparison?) by keeping close contact with the insurance adjuster and then keeping me in the loop too. All in all, I would definitely use Monroe again and recommend them highly.

Appreciated the timely communication and great workmanship from the guys who worked on my basement. Impressed with the quality of work and speed in which everything was completed. Highly recommend their services.

Worst company I have ever dealt with Estimate on job given, down payment given, 2 months of nothing. PM quit and continually called to try and solicit the job privately 2 months go by and a small add on portion of the job gets done by a crew that looks like they came from the Home Depot lot. They didn’t speak any english. No response for many days from new PM. Then originally estimate was increased by 8 times to complete the work. I fired them immediately. Would definitely not recommend. I was told their estimator did not know what he was doing.
