I highly recommend this business for any of your furniture needs. They went above and beyond to do (even unexpected) restoration of my chairs. Did a wonderful job! These people honor their word and that is something that you can't manufacture.
Ruined our family antique heirloom mahogany table by (supposedly) dropping a hammer/screwdriver/tool onto it from their delivery truck and tried to pass it off as nothing happened when I was horrified to see the damage (but then only confessed the truth after I demanded to know what they did), the significant gouge could not be removed, he admitted their paint booth is full of dirt and dust and a smooth finish isn’t attainable at his shop, etc. etc. very unprofessional attitude and demeanor. Other issues not discussed here. Definitely avoid.
They can restore fine furniture really well.
Knowledgeable, understanding and patient with the "uninitiated". And honest! Would not hesitate to ask them for guidance. Before spending the money to have a painting restored($$) they suggested we have it appraised to see if it was worth it. It was not. Good advice. Would trust them always. Ed and Mattie
Wow. Real pros!
About Meeting House Furniture Restoration
Meeting House Furniture Restoration is based in Rutland, Vermont and can be found at 87 Waterman Hill Rd, Quechee, VT 05059. The business is listed with a Google rating of 4.3 from 6 reviews, reflecting a mix of customer experiences that highlight both technical skill and careful customer care. As their name indicates, the company presents itself as a resource for restoration needs, and the service explicitly provided is water damage restoration.
Water damage restoration covers a range of interventions that help property owners recover from leaks, floods, and moisture intrusion. Meeting House Furniture Restoration approaches these situations by first assessing the affected items and areas, then applying drying and dehumidification measures, cleaning and sanitizing where needed, and stabilizing or removing materials that cannot be salvaged. For homeowners and small business proprietors, these steps are intended to limit secondary damage, preserve what can be saved, and prepare the space or objects for any follow up repair or conservation work.
Clients and reviewers emphasize clear communication and thoughtful guidance as part of the company experience. Many describe interactions in which staff took time to explain options, recommend practical next steps, and prioritize honesty when advising whether restoration was practical or whether alternate courses of action should be considered. That emphasis on transparency helps property owners make informed decisions under stressful conditions, and it is a consistent theme in the feedback the business has received.
Attention to detail and a careful, hands-on approach are also recurrent themes. Customers appreciate methods that focus on thorough drying, careful cleaning, and a steady hand when restoring affected finishes or structural elements. While water damage restoration often requires technical equipment and prompt action, the company’s reputation for patience and meticulous work reassures clients that the process will be handled with care.
Meeting House Furniture Restoration maintains regular business hours, open Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and closed on Saturday and Sunday. These hours reflect a predictable window for consultations, drop-offs, and follow up conversations. For urgent situations outside those hours, property owners typically look for immediate mitigation measures until a restoration specialist can assess the full scope of damage during normal business hours.
Those interested in exploring water damage restoration for furniture or property items can visit Meeting House Furniture Restoration at the listed Quechee address. The practice combines practical restoration steps with attentive client communication, aiming to help local owners understand their options and preserve what matters most after water incidents.
