GreenRoom Remediation

We recently chose GreenRoom to assess and remediate water damage, caused by a leak in our roof, after internet searching and calling a couple of other companies.  This turned out to be a very fortuitous decision and it's easy to understand why all of the prior reviews came with 5 star ratings.  The cost and the quality of work are obviously important, and the GR team did a wonderful job.  GR comprehensively and safely removed damaged materials, cleaned and treated areas with water damage and visible mold growth, and conducted air testing for mold spores, including accredited lab testing.  Not only did the test show that airborne mold was not a risk to our health, but it also confirmed that the remediation work performed by GR was effective. All of the above would be enough to earn a positive review.  However, the differentiator for us was what we joked to be excellent bedside manner.  When you have leaks, damage to your house, concerns about mold and no clear cause(s), the stress can be compounded when you realize that you need separate contractors / experts for comprehensive resolution.  Before our estimate was even approved, John texted with me late at night to ensure I had the right action plan to determine the cause(s) and begin remediation.  Once Sal was on-site, he quickly became our coordinator to actually solve all of our issues, not just do the scoped work.  Sal got an HVAC technician and a roofer at our house the same day through his various connections.  Without getting the roof flashing fixed that day, the storms the following day would have really exacerbated our interior damage. During the ten day period that GR was helping with remediation (drawn out due to multiple contractors having to perform work in sequential order), the texts, calls and coordination continued to expedite the remediation and restoration processes.  They were willing to connect us with and recommend other companies, knowing that there was work they could do, but others might have more expertise / capabilities.  Plus, since we are just tenants, they repetitively explained everything to us and the owners of the building to reduce our burden. Ultimately, what's truly notable is that John and Sal showed that they are really good people, they care about their clients and they want people to get the right solutions, even if GR isn't the provider of certain services.  This is increasingly rare in almost any service-based business and was extremely refreshing, especially during a stressful time.  They also really know their stuff, even if it makes them mold nerds.  The crew was also very friendly and respectful of our home, even wiping down our floors all the way to the door as they left. This likely doesn't need to be said after all of the above, but we would highly recommend GR to anyone who finds themselves in the unfortunate situation of needing remediation work done on their homes.  If you want people who feel more like friends and family than salespeople, and treat your house as if it's their own, give GR a call and save yourself the time talking to other companies.  Thanks GreenRoom team!

GreenRoom Remediation was great to work with. They responded to my request very quickly. They were able to get on-site and provide a detailed estimate within a day. Once we agreed to proceed with the work they were on-site right away and were able to complete their work in less time than they originally estimated. All in , a very good experience.
