Flood Rescue

A little disappointed with the Flood Rescue crew that worked on my house. I had a hot water tank leak that made it's way into a bedroom and soaked the wall and carpet. Flood Rescue initially came our same day and began work, mitigated the issue, dried it all out. But after that (and payment was made), they up and left. They left the baseboards off the wall, didnt pull carpet back in place, and left the walls unpainted. when I spoke to them about it, they said they could send someone over to fix it, but they only put the basebords back. My calls and text have not been returned. Buyer beware.

**UPDATE** Caleb has since reached out to give us a better explanation and appologize for the previous lack of communication. He had a genuine interest in making it right and I appreciate his honesty, so I am adding back 2 stars. I would still implore anyone needing these services to ask for a price without any insurance claim first since getting insurance invloved still seems to cause pricing issues. Edited original review: I am very disappointed with our most recent dealings with flood rescue. We had them out a year previous due to an issue in our garage where they had to do mold remediation, dry wall removal, insulation removal, and removal of part of a wood built-in unit. Rod was great and I have no complaints about that first interaction which is the reason I gave an extra star. Fast forward to our most recent issue with a small leak in our main closet. No mold or extensive damage was done and it simply needed to be dried out and remove a small portion of carpet pad to prevent mold. Caleb immediately asked if we planned on making a claim with insurance and we were unsure because we hadn't researched what our deductable was yet. Well, the quote was well above what any detectable would be forcing us to make a claim. When you are in an "emergency" situation and being told you will have more damage and mold if you don't act immediately, you sign the quote. I assumed the price would go down if the damage was less than expected. Afterwards, I looked back at our previous work and realized that the new quote was double the last one. I felt like more work was needed and done the first time. It was difficult to get a hold of Caleb, but once I finally talked to him and asked if it would be cheaper if we cancelled our claim, he assured me that it was due to the "specialized" equipment and not to the fact that we made a claim. In fact, there was only one extra "specialized" piece of machinery that was used as compared to last time and it shorted out and stopped working after only a couple of days. The other "specialized" piece of equipment was actually taken out early. When I emailed Caleb about this, he never responded and ended up charging our insurance an extra $300 above what the original quote was without any explanation. I feel taken advantage of and frustrated that we could've saved ourselves $1000 by not claiming insurance and getting a fair price. I have no qualms with the work done other than the faulty equipment and early removal of equipment, but will certainly think twice about putting in an insurance claim with them without a fair estimate first and will get second opinions.
