The only reason this place is getting one star is because everyone in the main office is absolutely lovely. We encountered a major situation when a window well drain failed and our basement flooded. Despite the fact they didn't respond to our texts or calls (despite advertising 24 hour assistance), we still gave them a shot. We had a nice gentleman quickly come out from Dry Effect to give us an estimate (Josh I believe his name was). We had every reason to believe the process would continue on in a similar fashion. Cut to the day they were supposed to come out. The scheduled time was 1:30. They called around 9 a.m. to ask if they could come at 11-12 instead. I said that I had a video interview at that time and would prefer to keep it at the scheduled time. So we did. In the interim, I called my husband to see if he could get off work and come home. He said he could, and I called them to relay the message. They said they would keep it at 1:30. My husband came home at 1 to be there when they arrived because I had a dentist appointment at 1:30. At 1:40 (while in the dentist's waiting room), I receive a call from someone (who I later learned was the owner) saying that one guy would be there to get the lay of the land around 2:30 but that they would start the job the following morning. I said that I thought they were starting today (the flooding occurred overnight Monday and it's now Thursday afternoon). He said when we couldn't move our appointment up, they took another job and it was running over. I said that I thought we had a scheduled time at 1:30 - why would they take another job at that time? He acted as if it was my fault that I wouldn't accommodate them coming earlier and he wasn't going to give up extra work, so took the other job. All of this was happening as I was about to be called back and I didn't have time to go back and forth on the whys and wherefores of what he decided to do with his time. I said, I'm going to just cut this part of the conversation short because I'm stressed to the hilt and I can feel that I may say something I would regret, but please let's make sure we communicate more clearly going forward because there has been a lot of back and forth today. Then, he totally exploded. He told me he wasn't going to do the job because he didn't want to do anything for someone who doesn't appreciate his work, etc. etc. What?! Because I asked for clear communication after he changed things four times in one day, I am the bad guy? I don't think so. The way he acted was completely unprofessional and totally uncalled for. Esther at the main office is the real MVP. It's too bad she doesn't handle customer service at all times because the owner doesn't seem to be capable. I wouldn't recommend bothering with this company. We went with Complete Detail in Tipp City, and they have been nothing but kind and respectful the entire process. We are extremely pleased with their work.

Very thorough work, did extra removal as needed to completely remove our mold issue. Josh is an excellent owner and his team was responsive and professional. Price was also reasonable relative to competitors locally. Highly recommend.

We had a great experience with Dry Effect. Josh came out to inspect some mold we were finding in the subfloor of our bathroom. He was extremely helpful in advising us what to do next and directly told us that we didn’t need their services. We are glad we chose Dry Effect and they’ll be our first call for any future needs.

We worked with Jonathan from Dry Effects. He came in and did a through review. He went "above and beyond " to explain the issue and investigate it to our satisfaction and not hustle down repair work when it was not needed. I will 100% recommend them based on my personal experience with them.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Dry Effect. Josh knew right away what our issue was and even helped us think through some ideas of things we could do on our own to keep costs down. I highly recommend this company!
