This company is awful! They came out twice to look at the job because the first time they sent a guy who was 6'5" to look at the water in my crawl space, after I told them it needed to be a smaller person because the entry point was extremely tight! Once the smaller estimator came he said he would have to come back to do the job. I agreed on a price with them and then they didnt show up when scheduled. No call, no email, no text just didn't come. After complaining the sent someone the following day, the creww showed up an hour and a half after the service window they gave me. When they finally got here, they had sent a different tech, he was 6'2" and could not reach the area with the water that needed to be extracted! They have since stopped answering my calls and the manager has not called me back even though I've requested a call multiple times. They know that I can't get my kitchen sink fixed until this water is extracted and that I have an infant in the house. It has been nearly 2 weeks and the job is still not done with no service in sight! I own a small business and never leave bad reviews for silly things, but as a business owner this is simply an unacceptable way to treat your clients! I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and the department of Consumer Affairs in both NJ & PA!
I hired CPR after a pipe burst flooded my entire main level. My experience with this company has been nothing short of unacceptable and has caused immense stress and hardship. On two separate days, CPR left contractor bags full of debris sitting in my front yard, directly on snow. The first time they left about 10 bags. I immediately contacted them and clearly explained that my homeowners association does not allow construction debris to sit outside. Despite this, the next day they left an additional 33 bags. This created disputes with my neighbors and unnecessary stress during an already traumatic situation. The remediation itself remains incomplete. My entire main living area to include the living room, dining room, kitchen, kitchen eating area, hallway, foyer and laundry room has been left in a state of disrepair. Most of the hardwood flooring remains in place in the living room, CPR only tore up a few square feet and removed the top layer in multiple areas, leaving the bottom of the hardwood glued directly to concrete. I have been left living in sub-zero temperatures with exposed concrete, open air, no insulation, and incomplete walls, while mold continues to grow in areas that were supposedly remediated. Multiple promises were made that someone would call to schedule completion of the work, yet no follow through has occurred. Calls and messages have gone unanswered. This level of unprofessionalism is dangerous, stressful, and completely unacceptable. I strongly caution anyone considering CPR to ask detailed questions about project oversight, debris removal policies, timelines for completion, and communication accountability before hiring them. I'm sure there are many more reliable and trustworthy companies available to do the work in a professional manner and complete the work in full. I have been waiting for them to complete this job for over 30 days at this point. And here I sit! Sub-Zero temperatures have caused my utilities to go through the roof because open air is coming in from outside while I wait!! ***It is very interesting that you are trying to "clarify" my review in your response by saying you only removed the damaged flooring and that the living room floor did not need to be removed. That is an blatant lie!! it really shows the integrity of your company. You did attempt to remove the living room flooring. You used a machine, scraped off much of the top layer and removed approvimately 10 square feet of flooring. The machine left much of the floor splintered and concrete exposed throughout the living room. I was told that you would be back with a different machine to remove the rest in its entirety. It has been almost five weeks and still no response. It actually makes the situation even worse that your response to my review misrepresents what actually occured. Fortunately we live in a time where photos and videos can easily document work preformed. At this point, I do not want any further contact or service from your company. I just want to make the record straight so others understand what actually occured and to be sure that they make good choices when deciding what restoration company they should use. I added a few photos that I had available on my phone and will take more when I get home from work today in order to show how you left my home.
I had a great experience with CPR Restoration after dealing with unexpected water damage. From the beginning, the team was responsive, professional, and extremely supportive during a stressful situation. Cam and Paul were outstanding. They showed up on time, explained the entire process clearly, and immediately got to work. They handled the cleanup of the damaged areas thoroughly and efficiently, making sure everything was properly removed and treated. You could tell they take pride in their work and genuinely care about doing the job right. What really stood out was their professionalism and communication. They kept me informed throughout the process and made sure I felt comfortable with every step. It’s not easy dealing with water damage, but having a team like Cam and Paul made a huge difference.
I strongly advise against using or recommending CPR Restoration Company based on my recent experience!!! Following significant water damage to my residence, I contacted CPR Restoration after reviewing what appeared to be positive feedback and assuming the company operated with professionalism and urgency. The assistant, David, promptly dispatched a representative, Jessie, to assess the situation and assist with initiating an insurance claim. Jessie took photographs, measurements, and collected my personal information; however, I never received any follow-up documentation, claim details, or written communication as promised. Over the next three consecutive days, I contacted the office seeking assistance and clarification regarding my claim and the condition of my property. Despite my repeated attempts, neither the manager, the assistant, nor the representative returned my calls or provided any communication whatsoever. During this time, my home remained in a severely compromised condition. With no action taken and no guidance provided, the damage worsened, and mold began spreading rapidly throughout the residence. After an entire week of inaction and complete lack of response, I was forced to retain another restoration company to mitigate further damage and protect my property. The absence of communication, accountability, and urgency from CPR Restoration—particularly given the serious and time-sensitive nature of water damage—demonstrates a level of unprofessionalism that is deeply concerning. No effort was made to follow up, reschedule, or resolve the matter. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company for restoration services. Their handling of a situation involving a homeowner in urgent need of assistance was disappointing and unacceptable.
Do not hire this company. CPR Restoration and Cleaning Services falsely claims to be Better Business Bureau accredited and IICRC certified. Neither credential could be verified. Misrepresenting certifications is deceptive and a major red flag in the restoration industry. This business cannot be trusted. Avoid.
About CPR Restoration & Cleaning Services
CPR Restoration & Cleaning Services is a Philadelphia based restoration company located at 8421 Hegerman St, Philadelphia, PA 19136. The firm focuses on water damage restoration and fire damage restoration for local homes and businesses, and it maintains around the clock availability for emergencies. The business is open 24 hours every day, making it accessible for urgent situations when swift action is critical. The company’s online reputation is notable, with a Google rating of 4.9 from 745 reviews, reflecting a strong level of customer response across many engagements.
When responding to water damage, CPR Restoration & Cleaning Services typically begins with an on site assessment to determine the source and extent of intrusion. Emergency services commonly include water extraction and removal of standing water, followed by drying and dehumidification to reduce lingering moisture. Technicians generally monitor moisture levels and the affected building materials to guide drying decisions, and where necessary they perform controlled demolition and removal of unsalvageable materials to protect the structure. Communication about the work plan and progress is typically provided to the property owner throughout the mitigation process.
For fire related incidents, the company’s fire damage restoration work commonly involves stabilization and mitigation to prevent further loss, cleaning of smoke and soot from structural surfaces and contents, and deodorization where needed. Initial actions may include securing the property and removing debris, then assessing what can be cleaned or restored versus what requires replacement. Restoration for fire damage often requires coordination among cleaning, rebuilding, and content recovery tasks, all aimed at returning the property to a safe and functional condition for the owner.
Customer feedback, as reflected in the company’s Google rating, frequently highlights promptness and clear communication during emergency responses and cleanup operations. Many reviewers note that timely arrival and efficient handling of mitigation work are important strengths. At the same time, public feedback also contains a range of experiences, and some customers have reported concerns about scheduling or follow up in individual cases. This mix of comments suggests that prospective clients should discuss timelines and expectations up front so that the restoration process aligns with their needs.
For Philadelphia property owners, working with a restoration provider like CPR Restoration & Cleaning Services typically means having a single point of contact for the initial emergency response, an assessment that identifies immediate mitigation needs, and a sequence of cleanup and repair steps tailored to the specific damage. The company’s focus on water and fire restoration covers the core stages most homeowners and property managers face, from emergency mitigation through cleaning and stabilization, with ongoing communication about the scope of work.
CPR Restoration & Cleaning Services emphasizes availability for urgent calls, with staff reachable 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Property owners seeking assistance after a water or fire incident in the Philadelphia area can contact the company for emergency response and an initial assessment, and expect a process that aims to address immediate hazards and begin recovery as quickly as possible.
