Following damage to my home from Ice Storm Fren, I was given John’s number for mitigation services and ultimately agreed to have the full restoration completed by the team he brought to my home, including Pedro and Shirley. During that process, additional work was discussed that I agreed to pay for out of pocket. Throughout the restoration, many of my belongings were moved into storage. In my experience, several items were damaged during that process, including furniture, pictures, a Tempur-Pedic mattress, and an upstairs tub was damaged with a large whole- see photos . One piece of furniture that was damaged had significant sentimental value to me because it was purchased by my daughter’s late father. I also experienced ongoing concerns regarding scratches and damage to multiple furniture items and a white velvet chair that was stained during the work. Issues with smoking marijuana at my house during work. And they asked to sleep inside my home while it was fully gutted. I have texts to prove all of this. I communicated these concerns directly with Pedro and Shirley and was told the issues would be addressed. However, I later experienced additional concerns involving a bathroom leak and a mildew odor in the home that I am currently having to live in while this is all still ongoing. When a replacement tub was brought to my home, I was informed that I must sign paperwork stating I was satisfied with the work before the remaining repairs had been completed. If I did not sign no more repairs would be done Because there were still unresolved issues at the property, I declined to sign at that time. I also want to clarify that all payments for completed work and agreed-upon additional work were paid, and I have documentation supporting those payments being made to American veterans restoration not PP&B. I have just recently been told that PP&B is the company that did my restoration but I never paid them anything as all checks were made to AVR. At this point, there appears to be disagreement regarding who was responsible for managing my project. I can only speak to my personal experience and interactions throughout the process. I was under the impression John was the person I hired as this is what he and I discussed over the phone and inside my home. I encourage anyone hiring contractors for insurance restoration work to carefully document everything, ask questions, review contracts thoroughly, and communicate directly with both their contractor and insurance company throughout the project.

The team at American Veterans was too-notched. Jonathan and Pedro were beyond professional and attentive. The entire team did an excellent mitigation job and exceeded all expectations. I.would recommend them without reservation and they made a very difficult situation very easy to navigate for my family and me.

Do what they say and very kind professional men. In the worst weather conditions came within 24hours to my rescue!! Well now I know why price gouging should be illegal 28,500.00 for 4 not 6 trees. Talk about taking advantage of people you should be ashamed!

They helped mitigate flooding that occurred in my grandmother's home during the recent ice storms in north MS. Their team was highly professional, responsive, and willing to do whatever was necessary to help my grandmother and me in a very distressing situation. I would absolutely use this team again.
