Ak Restoration Pro Anchorage Water & Fire

I had water damage after a pipe break and hired AK Restoration Pro. They did a great job from start to finish. The team helped get everything approved through my insurance, walked me through the entire process, and made sure I understood each step. They really gave me peace of mind during a stressful situation. I highly recommend their services!

They did a good job drying out, however, there was a lack of care and/or skill in preserving the surrounding areas. AK Restoration Pros had open availability and will get your house dry. However, they did not communicate with insurance at all. I believe that if they had ordered a plumbers report then my insurance would have covered this leak. However, with too many questions in the air I now have to pay out of pocket. Additionally, they did a good job removing drywall, however, ~ 2/3 of my LVP planks are severally damaged and can not be reused. It’s quite unfortunate to see this considering they snap and unsnap together like legos. Additionally, instead of solely using specialized tools to carefully remove tile in my kitchen it appears that a hammer was the tool of choice due to almost every adjacent tile being chipped. This leads to much higher costs during the remodeling stage. I’m not sure if I’d work with them again.

Ak Restoration Pro came out after getting the run around from 2 other companies. The team extracted and set equipment promptly. The technicians handled everything directly with my insurance adjuster. I recommend Ak Restoration Pro to anyone with Water Damage.

I can’t recommend this company enough. We were in an emergency situation and they responded in a timely manner. The work was completed quickly and exceeded our expectations. The employees we worked with were both kind and professional. You can’t ask for better service. Huge shout out to Eli and Kyle.

We used AK Restoration Pro to help dry our floors when we had a pinhole leak in a pipe; they were highly rated, and able to respond quickly, and we had no idea what to do as we'd never encountered a situation like this before. We will never use them again. After an initial inspection, we were told a team would be coming to set things up. That team was led by a smooth talker, while courteous, was unprofessional - they showed up high out of their minds, and took about 45 minutes going back and forth to their van, to plug in 4 fans and 1 dehumidifier. We learned a few days later that they walked out on their employer (not shocked); a few days later, we learned they did a poor setup, pointing fans towards one another, effectively cancelling each other out. Shocking, was the bill. 4 fans, 1 dehumidifier, for one week, $2500. The only labor they did was plugging in the fans and dehumidifier - that's it. These same fans can be purchased at Home Depot for $60/ea. The dehumidifier, while big and loud, removed less water than our home dehumidifier, which they included pictures of in their invoice. The invoice was sent on 3/6/25, though showed a due date of 2/5/25, making it over a month late on the same day it was sent. Frustrating, to say the least. Hopefully we'll never find ourselves in a situation where we need to do something like this again. If we do, we most certainly will not be utilizing AK Restoration Pro.
