If I could give zero star I would. Please read this! This company tried to commit home insurance fraud through a claim from my home. Back in January of 2023/December 2022 they came to do some water mitigation due to a pipe burst from the severe weather we experienced in DC. They came and vacuumed the water from the home and left dehumidifiers and fans. They didn't do any other work during that time. Considering this, I had to call another company to finish the work. I contacted them every day and spoke to their representatives about coming to pick up their equipment and they refused to come pick up the equipment. When they finally did pick up the equipment, it was well over 10 days and the other company already came in and did the rest of the mitigation work. They then sent the bill for the services totalling over $9,000. The insurance company reviewed their bill and stated that it was an overcharge and that they were only paying approximately $2300 of the bill. ARS is now trying to charge me for the balance of the bill and trying to take me to court. I have attached emails from the insurance company. I also have proof and evidence of another company coming to do the work. I also have phone records of me trying to call this company and their representatives over an over to come pick up their equipment. Please see attached. UPDATE 05/2026 ARS sued me for the balance of the money they said I owed them. The first time they sued me they didn't show up to the hearing that I showed up to. I was informed that time that it was dismissed. However, they turned around and re-sued me again and got the case reopened. This was all back in 2024, a full year after the incident already happened. I was out of the country and they were sending summonses to the house that they serviced, which was rented to a tenant. I found out in October of 2025, after I came back from living overseas that they sued me again and had to go through a whole process to try to convince the judge to reopen the case. I was successful in reopening the case only to have a final hearing this year, where they had their own owner of the company testify in front of the judge as the "expert". Unfortunately, I did not have the funds to hire a lawyer and lost the case because according to this judge that preceded the hearing, I didn't have enough evidence or an expert on my side so I lost. Even though I had all documents from the insurance company, from the other remediation company that finished the work they never did, along with an affidavit from that company stating that what they did was not sufficient or standard practice. I also had proof from the DC Consumer Protection and Licensing board clearly stating they were grossly overcharging me and were fined for that. And the coercion email they sent me about taking this review down in exchange for knocking of $1300 from the money I supposedly owe them. Long story short, I was ordered to pay them close to $10,000 in fees, interest, etc. If I were you, I would run away from this company. Since I have put this review up, I've had several people reach out to me thanking me from saving them from this company. I hope you all find this useful. Find another company. There are many that will actually do the job right and not gouge you. Not this one!
