Absolute DKI

I have never had a more positive experience with a remediation company. John was amazing, informative & kind. He also followed up on the weekend. Tim & Mason were great setting up the equipment and moving furniture. 10 stars even if you only allow 5.

I was in the process of doing my garage remodel around first week of July 2025. I was working on taking the siding off to replace the sheeting and noticed a lot of rotten wood. I built a temporary wall for more support and ran to the store for some more sheeting. After we got back from the store with the sheeting, my wife went around the side and i went into the garage to start unloading the material. My wife was out in the yard with our dog and yelled for me to come outside because the garage appeared to be leaning now. I came out to look at her concern. The garage actually did look like it was leaning now. I went back in to grab the level to double check on what could have happen. It had to be the wind i told myself. The level was in the back of the garage. Im in the back of the garage to see how far the walls are out of plumb. Well the garage started to collapse! My wife yelled that it was falling and it was, so i ran and dove out with part of the garage hitting me on the back! I was in shock that i made it out and was alive. i was in pretty bad shape, Broken Ribs, cuts bruises, and really sore for obvious reasons. After gathering myself i grabbed our insurance policy to see what was to see what will be covered if anything. This was on a Saturday so i submitted a claim. The following Monday i heard from our claim specialist. The insurance company sent out a field rep and a rep from DKI to assess the damage. T,he garage was a total loss. Well come to find out on our policy we have garage collapse and was covered. Since the rep was so knowledgeable i was going to use DKI for the removel and then rebuild. DKI sent some workers out and by the end of the week the garage was dismantled and hauled away. After meeting with DKI rep about the new garage build we had a plan together to build my dream garage! After a few delays because of the 100 year flood the Milwaukee area had, they started shortly after. Everyone on the DKI Team that was on the garage project was very nice and professional. The demo team, Carpenters the roofers the siders all were fantastic. Since they were doing the garage roof i had them tear off and replace our house shingles as well. I would HIGHLY recommend DKI for any of your projects. DKI will be back in the spring of 2026 to do the few remaining projects. Thank You DKI for building my dream garage.

We recently contracted with Absolute DKI after a second story toilet overflowed. They were quick to respond, and the guys who helped with the remediation were professional, helpful and explained everything thoroughly. This is the second time we have used Absolute DKI for water damage, and would highly suggest them for your remediation, and reconstruction needs.

The workers dis a great job but the owner over charged us almost 1000 dollars. Did not present bill until over a week after work completed then told us if we didn't immediately pay in 3 days they would put a lean on our house. Sent the bill back 4 times for corrections I had to ask for several times and final one still had a large charge for work not done. He sent office worker out to pick up who I didn't know instead of showing up himself. She took over charge off after I proved work not done. Don't trust his bills. He was rude and dismissive. Workers were very good but feel like he padded the bill due to insurance pay out after all this. Response: the timing of us leaving was discussed prior to you accepting the job when you came out. You said their was no issue with billing us and payment for that time frame. It was also discussed that i would not mail that large of a check due to the issues with mailing. You also said you would give me a few names of basement people but never responded to me or your workers texts. Your worker did show me the many texts sent ro you about the bill and reminding you we were leaving and looking for names with zero responses. This was again discussed the week prior to leaving when you were texted by your worker. You then Called and discussed the threat of sending to a lawyer for a lien prior to receiving an actual bill when I called about us leaving and no bill yet. You then had to correct and resend the bill 4x and the last one sent was still not a corrected bill. Your email said you would be out to collect the very large check and no notification that someone different and their name of who was collecting it. Any talk about an attorney and liens is a threat when times were agreed upon prior to starting. Thank you

We highly recommend Absolute DKI. We were one of the WI houses that had our basement flooded in 2025. From beginning to end they were so helpful, knowledgeable, professional, prompt, friendly, trustworthy, thorough, and do wonderful high quality work. They also explain things very well. They truly care about their work and clients. Thank you, Tom and Absolute DKI Team for everything! Our basement is looks wonderful and we're back to enjoying and creating memories in our basement. 5/5 stars!
